Unless you are a member of the richest 1% of this country, that owns 38% of its wealth - and my guess is that you aren’t - then you are, in mathematical fact, part of the 99%.
So all the folks who claim to not be part of the 99%, because you have a job, or worked your way through college, or don’t have any credit card debt? None of that is relevant.
Income inequality is what it’s about. Income inequality weakens a country. The United States is currently something like 90th in the world in income inequality. And it’s getting worse.
You are the 99%. Unless you are one the richest 3 million people in this country - and, again, I’m guessing that you aren’t - you are the 99%. Whether you want to be, or not.

That’s Pretty Damn Happy.
Going through some pictures on my computer, I realized that I have some amazingly creative friends. “Today I Will Be Happier Than a Bird With a French Fry” was created for me by an old friend of mine. Though we haven’t remained in touch, I have always remained grateful. It’s quite wonderful, isn’t it?
